I had met Mr. Richard Sancey a good while ago when I was doing a radio broadcast – a most pleasant man, very dynamic and buzzing with ideas.
And just the other day I came across one of his leaflets about visits to his cheese business in Métabief.

The "Laughing Cow" was one of the first French cheese products to cross the Channel to our shops years ago. Now you can actually pay her a visit by going back there … to the Maison de la Vache Qui Rit in Lons le Saunier (at 55 rue Richebourg – tel: 03 84 43 54 10) in the Jura region.

This summer, children can see her there and hear her laugh. They will be given a multi-media badge with which they can play with the cow – the famous red cow is even available in 3D. After learning her secrets, the youngsters can take advantage of a theme garden, over 1300m2 in area, and be shown just how milk is made into cheese.
It's been open for a couple of weeks now – so add it to your summer circuit!
